Laboratorium Research
Watermanagement starts with facts. We are committed to a science-based approach. The laboratory research we conduct at Acacia Water, forms an important link between practice and analysis. The results of water and soil analysis provide insight into the quality, origin, and composition of groundwater and surface water. This allows us to better understand processes such as salinization, nutrient leaching, and groundwater recharge, and to substantiate them with reliable data.

In our Acacia Water laboratory, we perform chemical and physical analyses of water and soil samples. In the water samples, we measure electrical conductivity (EC), pH, alkalinity, anions (such as nitrate and phosphate), cations (such as calcium and magnesium), total nitrogen, total phosphorus, and metals such as iron and manganese. We use modern equipment for this, such as an ion chromatograph and colorimeter. We determine the moisture content, pF value, and EC of soil samples.
Quality is central to our work: all analyses are carefully performed and checked according to fixed protocols. Thanks to the close collaboration between our field and lab teams, the measurements form a coherent whole. In this way, we connect theory with practice and provide reliable information that forms the basis for sustainable water management and well-founded advise.
