Consultancy
Turning knowledge into action. This is what we do in our consultancy practice. We work alongside partners and clients on complex water and climate challenges. Our advice is always practical and science-based, and if relevant backed with field surveying and modelling. Equally important is our focus on people: we engage stakeholders, from governmental bodies to water users such as farmers and local communities.
Facilitating the dialogue we ensure that everyone has a voice in shaping solutions for circumstances they are part of. And because conditions change, our methods are iterative: we refine plans as new insights emerge, ensuring that recommendations remain robust over time. We help decision-makers and water users build resilience, strengthen governance, and make choices that balance human needs with environmental sustainability.
To empower decision-makers and water users in managing water, land, and climate challenges, Acacia Water consultancy services bring together scientific foundation, sectoral experience, and strategic vision.
Our consultancy includes strategic assessments and feasibility studies to explore scenarios, weighing trade-offs between water supply options, land use changes, and climate resilience.

Some examples of what we do in our consultancy practise: development of regional water resource strategies that balance agricultural development with aquifer sustainability; advising governments on climate-smart irrigation, water pricing, and monitoring systems for water quality; supporting communities in mapping their use and planning for flood resilience.
Each project is different, but all share a common goal: to provide knowledge-based solutions that improve lives while safeguarding the water systems on which we all depend.
